Description
A drum dryer is an internally heated conductive rotating continuous drying equipment. The rotating drum adheres a thick material film through its lower material groove, and heat is transported to the inner wall of the drum through a pipeline, transmitted to the outer wall of the drum, and then transmitted to the material film, causing the moisture in the material film to evaporate, dehumidify, and dry the material containing moisture. The dried material is scraped off the drum by a scraper installed on the surface of the drum, and then transported to a screw conveyor placed below the scraper. The dry material is concentrated and packaged through the screw conveyor.
1. High thermal efficiency. Due to the heat transfer mechanism of the drum dryer being thermal conduction, the direction of heat transfer remains consistent throughout the entire operating cycle. Except for heat dissipation by the cover and thermal radiation loss, all other heat is used for the evaporation of the moisture content of the drum material film, and the thermal efficiency can reach 70% -80%.
2. Flexible operation and wide applicability. There are many drying factors that can be adjusted for the drum dryer. The concentration of feed, thickness of coating film, temperature of heating medium, and rotation speed of drum can all change the drying efficiency of drum dryer, and many factors are not related to each other. This brings great convenience to the drum drying operation, making it adaptable to the drying of various materials and the requirements of different yields.
3. Short drying time. The drying cycle of materials is generally only 10-300 seconds, which is suitable for heat sensitive materials. If the drum dryer is set in a vacuum, it can operate under reduced pressure conditions.
4. The drying rate is high. Due to the thin film of the coating applied to the cylinder wall, usually between 0.3-1.5mm, and the consistent direction of heat and mass transfer, the surface of the film can maintain 20-70kg The evaporation strength of H2O/m2. h.
Suitable for drying liquids or viscous materials in industries such as chemical, dye, pharmaceutical, food, metallurgy, etc.
